Looks like NHRA wants to compact their schedule nascar style to keep competitors from running IHRA on the off weekends, however rumor is that if that happens, Knolls (owner of Torco Race Fuels) and Bruton Smith (we ALL know who he is) will buy out the IHRA, and Smith will remove NHRA dates from the dragstrips he owns and give them IHRA dates, as well as build a full fledge modern dragstrip in the vicinity of Texas Motor Speedway to compete with the dragway in Ennis.


One can only imagine how much that would hurt. IRL vs Champ Car anyone?
