I'm not sure if y'all have read this or not (I know TRL and a few other have), but this is from John Daly's blog.

TNT Sets The New NASCAR TV Standard

I hope NASCAR, FOX and ESPN are listening to what everyone's saying. And I hope the TNT model is the new standard everyone moves toward.

Sucks that they only have one race left (and I'll be at Langley for their big late model race).

Next Cup race I'll see is Indianapolis

in a couple weeks.

The wide open coverage and Suspension of Weber-mouth has boost their stock. Gest thing for them is to totally get rid of Weber, and keep Sheheen.
I was a big skeptic of TNT, but now have grown to like their coverage. If they could only replace Wally next, With Phil Parsons.

I like Wally. :)

As far as Weber goes, he's got his role. He's great with pre-race stuff, and he's a great writer. That said, he doesn't belong in the booth. I hope he finds something doing what he's good at. Honestly, I've always thought he belongs at CNN.

John's right -- that is the standard for quality coverage. That was the best coverage I've seen since the 2001 NBC/FOX deal.
