Night Races in 2003

I like that fall Lowes race will be at night now. There's also talk of the Southern 500 and possibly the race in KC being run at night too. This is one move that NASCAR is taking that I like. Not just because night racing looks cool, but it frees up my Sundays. And I can drink beers without thinking about work. Do you all agree?
 
I like the night races...keeps your beer colder without all that direct sunlight! Just hope they don't follow the trend and try to do them all at night. Well, the road courses would be tough to light anyway. I think having just a few at night keeps them special.
 
I'm psyched about the 2nd Charlotte date being at night. In addition to night racing being awesome and all, Charlotte is a track that changes dramatically as the sun sets, making it a challenge for drivers and crews to be on their toes on their setups. Should be great to watch!
 
I like it too. But it kinda isn't fair for the local Saturday night racers. IMO, they wanna see the race live too. I doubt it will, but it could affect attendance in places where Saturday night racing is as big as the big one on Sunday.

Good point. With the way the 18 team has been performing, do we really want any more curveballs thrown at them?:)

and now there is talks of Darlinton getting a night race for the Southern 500 next year
 
The more Night races the better...for us and for Na$car. I would bet the rating are always better when its in the dark.

I would love a night race at Martinsville. I think one of the atlanta races should be at night since they have lights there. And if Texas ever gets a second date, it should be at night.
 
how about a road course at night..............HELL YA!!!!!!!!!!!
 
lol, That sure would be fun though. Its Nascar, and even that is too much for them. Its sometimes fun to watch in some other series though...
 
Lighting up a road corse would be really tough, but maybe we could put headlightson the cars like they have at the 24 hours of Daytona...
