I think this is because Kevin couldn't get out of his contract at RCR.

•No third team for Stewart in 2010: Tony Stewart, #14 Office Depot /Old Spice Chevy, met with members of the media at Atlanta Motor Speedway and discussed many things, including:
HAVE YOU DECIDED THAT YOU ARE NOT GOING TO ADD ANOTHER TEAM FOR NEXT YEAR?: "No, it's too late to do something for next year. We're two weeks before the Chase and we're going to be very focused on hopefully keeping two cars with a chance to possibly win a championship. We just didn't get far enough down to get something done for next year and I'm not sure that's a bad thing. This is a decision where timing is everything for it and when we do it, it doesn't matter when it happens, but when it does we want it to be the right timing and the right situation."(GM Racing)(9-6-2009)

They need to focus on making the 39 car a little more competitive.

Are you speaking from experience?

What is this supposed to mean? HAAS Automation is a team co-owner (Gene Haas) so anytime the name is on the car, it's being ran out of pocket, wether it's Tony's Pocket or Gene's Pocket.

Haas Automation is a company name, that is putting sponsor money up for the 39. If the sponsor on the car said "Gene Haas" then yes it is coming out of his pocket. Just because he owns the company and sponsors the car does not mean the money is coming out of his personal pocket. I have a hard time believing that the 39 is getting anything less than the best, judging by Newmans interviews. He states that Stewart puts just as much time and effort in the 39 as the 14. Making the chase in there first year speakes volumes with me

Well said! Actually, there are times that more time and money go to the 39 car than the 14.
