Way back when, the Chicago Bears had a team of cheerleaders named Honeybears. They used them to help with attendance in the early 80's. Once the team won the Super Bowl, the Honeybears went into hibernation permanently. I don't know of any other team that has stopped using them, but I can see why the owners think they are a distraction. One question that I have, not that anyone can really answer it, is IF the Cowboys had made it to the big game, would they have nixed the Cowgirls?
