2 weeks ago my service provider had an outage. Now, it's become an overload issue and since I'm probably the lowest rung of the ladder, I cannot access the 'net during the day --- just too many online ahead of me.

I'm seriously considering returning to dial-up because it's reliable. LOL
And, before anyone gives me recommendations, I have no other choices. There is no cable and no other DSL available. I will NOT go back to satellite.

Didn't like when we had satellite, hope all works out.
 
Have you tried DSL from AT&T?We have and it runs through the phone lines and is pretty quick.
