It was just announced the Lowe's will not be renewing it's contract to sponsor the speedway.

Lowe's Motor Speedway President, Marcus Smith, is now denying the report and has stated that they are working to extend their deal with Lowe's. They have been sponsored for eleven years and are just completing a one year extension of the original contract. They are negotiating for another one year extension.

I agree completely. I certainly understand why it's done but I still don't like when naming rights are sold to sporting venues.

You mean it changed names? It's always been Charlotte to me.
