Jayski is rumoring that RYR might be selling out to roush racing and yates will handle the engine dept. of roush racing.

i doubt this very much..........besides jarret is overracted and is on the downhill slide...LOL

Hey I don't believe it either, I just can't see robert yates workin for jack roush and DJ is still a great driver I would take him over any driver out there without a ride including JB

I hope this doesn't happen, Roush has enough trouble spreading his resources out among 5 teams, no way it wouldn't get worse with 7 teams.

I don't believe it.
Ask wlfyk62!

He'll give you the scoop! :p [/b][/quote]
his sources tell him.

Jayski now says...

UPDATE 2: been told that Roush is not buying Yates out, but Yates is supposedly doing some engine work for Roush.(1-5-2004)

Jayski lives in Mooresville >> Close to RYR >> he may have some interesting Info

Makes me wonder, Ummmmmmmm! Does this mean the end to Nascar as we know it? NOT! Are you folks not keen enough to know that you will have only a hand full of engine builders in the futher endevors of Nascar? ^_^

I've seen the same info posted on several websites, many message boards also,I don't like this idea, but there must be some validity to it with so many sites saying the same things?JMO.

If this does come to pass and Roush essentially becomes a 7 car team, then I believe there should be a cap on a team's total number of cars allowed in Their stables,I'm not talking about the individually listed car owners that have different names on about each car,but am talking about the basic car stable of the principle owner.I'd make it a 5 car limit, long thought that it should be a 4 car limit to any major owner, but Roush and HMS frequently use a 5th car,so going back to a 4 car limit would probably be impractical?
I just hate the idea of major stables with so many cars having an unfair advantage,by sheer numbers alone-not to mention all the extra test dates,in winning any given race, this could(perhaps already has?)start turning this sport into 2 or 3 monopolies of major owners, accounting for like maybe 20 cars or so in the field on race day,ie. almost half the field would be represented by those 2 or 3 major owners, this is not a good thing IMHO  <_<

Larry essentially gave little or no real information.

Like 24Thunder mentioned above, I have never been a real fan of huge owner stables either. But this seems kind of like a return in this case of almost a factory stable sort of situation that the major auto-players have tried in NASCAR before. With any hold on Yates at all, Jack basically has the entire Ford stable in his pocket. The Wood Brothers are already there and any other Ford teams are just also-rans. If this will prove to be advantageous or not, I have no idea. One thing I would advise against is underestimating what Roush and company can accomplish however. The guy has a habit of dominating once he finally gets rolling. And with titles now in all three major Nascar series he may be poised to totally dominate the Nextel Cup series.....which has been his goal all along.
