No Petty Truck in 2003? It's highly unlikely that the Petty Enterprise's #43 Dodge will return. Kyle Petty told ESPN [Ray Dunlap] the Truck program does not help his organization improve the Winston Cup cars. Current driver Carlos Contreras hopes to compete in the BGN with the Hispanic Racing Team.(ESPN)(10-4-2002)
I say that might be a good move on the part of PE. First of all Carlos has done nothin gwith that truck but yet a person of two has gotten in the 45 truck and ran pretty well. Second, its true that the truck team is not helping at all with the cup teams it might help some if the truck was a top 5 truck each week but its not. Third maybe Hotwheels will try and come back to the 44 car, and Jerry.
