Well, Gossage can't say 35 million people watched the race if Nielsen says it's only 3 million so we shall see.

This morning I saw the overnights released and they were up 9% over last year. A 3.7 this year vs. 3.4 for the same weekend last year. I think that Tuesday is when they release the final numbers including viewer numbers.

Texas overnight TV Ratings: NASCAR Sprint Cup racing on FOX posted a 3.7/7 for a Primetime telecast of the Texas 500 on April 9, 2011. Though that's up +9% over last year's 3.4/7 for the primetime race from Phoenix, it's off -12% from FOX's last Texas race (4.2/10) in 2009 [the 2010 spring race was postponed until Monday due to rain].
