Hi guys,

I am a bit of a NASCAR noob, but me and my dad and a couple other family members went to our first NASCAR race in Martinsville last year. We'd like to go to Charlotte this year in October, but I had a couple questions.

I'd like to get a scanner headset (rental) for at least my dad. I saw it requires a 300$ deposit or a credit card -- will a debit card work, you think?

I'd love to be able to let him meet his favorite driver. What is the best way, realistically, to get that to happen? get those pit passes?

Thanks!

I rent one with a debit or credit card and they just charge me the rental fee but if you don't return it they will charge you for what the set sells for minus the rental fee.

I think the headset people have ads on the track website .,or try to google racingradios , I know these guys would set up the rental for you ahead of time . If you get a really nice person , ask them about driver access , they know them all . Also check the driver appearance schedule on Jayski.com , your driver might be signing autographs at the local Lowes or Walmart while you are looking for him at the track. Lastly e mail the team site and ask them for info. Good luck.
