I'd love to go but probably won't. We are intending on going to the races there next month when the mods race there.

Very cool. Post some pics if you get the chance. I heard Terri Parsons, Benny Parsons widow, on Sirius Speedway. She seems to be one of the larger or most notable investors in that track. They all sound pretty excited to have the gates opening tomorrow.

Warms my heart, rubber meeting the asphalt in the Brushy Mountains. Wished I could be there!

Had intended on heading out to NW but forgot that we had a dinner engagement with the daughter. I did see some pics from friends on FB and they really cleaned up the place. Looked really nice. Can't wait for next month.

A few pics I snagged from FB...

Winner of the 200 lap feature event was...are you ready for this...Chase Elliott, son of Awesome Bill from Dawsonville. Chase drives the #9 Aarons Ford last model. Hard to believe that Chase is doing so well at the age of only 14. Won't be 15 until November.

An Elliott winning at North Wilkesboro. Kinda puts a smile on my face. Now that I think of it, I don't believe his dad ever won there.

After all the times I went to North Wilkesboro in the 80s, I seriously considered making the trip for one of the race weekends. I just couldn't justify going that far for minor league racing, as good as it may be.

I think Bill's only short track win came at Bristol
