Saw this earlier. A little vigilante justice gone overboard.
Wow. What an insane story.
The craziest part of it all is that the ref was the one that instigated everything by stabbing a player to death. I could maybe have seen it happening the other way around. Maybe. Mind you, it would still have been completely idiotic, but being that they take soccer so darn seriously in Brazil, I could at least have seen it coming. But this...
"Abreu's [the player's] friends and relatives immediately 'rushed into the field, stoned the referee to death and quartered his body'...the spectators also decapitated Silva [the ref] and stuck his head on a stake in the middle of the field."
I mean, that's just...good Lord.
