Just switched to our local FOX affiliate (KTTV, Ch 11, Los Angeles) for the pre-race that was supposed to aired at 9:30 this morning. What's on? One of those 30 minute infomercials!! :( Went to FX, FOX Sports, and SPEED..........nothing!! I can't believe FOX would put on an infomercial with low viewership over the pre-race for a Cup race!! But, then I've had a hard time figuring out just what time the race is supposed to start. TV guide says 9:30, NASCAR.com says 1:00 pm ET (10:00 am PT). I was watching FOX Sports and they said to switch over to FOX for the pre-race so I figure the 10:00 am time was correct. Looks like FOX 11 thinks more people will watch a thirty minute commercial than the pre-race for a Nextel Cup race.

well I guess we're used to pre-race being a half-hour before
 
Here in Raleigh we got an hour and a half of pre-pre race, then a half hour of pre-race and then the race. You need a better cable company. On some days you can have mine... <_<
 
Fox Sports Net shows a 1.5 hour prerace show and Fox shows a 30 minute prerace show.

Unless they (being your Fox Affiliate) choose NOT to show them and show some other crap instead. That was what DE was steamed about!

DE posted at 11:46 CST. The prerace did not start until 12pm CST.

TV guide, SPEED, and my online guide for my TV card all said 12:30 EST time (that's 11:30 CST). Us who depend on FOX, ch 11, KTTV, Los Angeles did not get the pre-race you saw. I did the conversion for PST. Plus I was watching the live FOX sport channel for the west and they said to switch to your local FOX channel for the pre-race.

It's not important now......but, we did not get the pre-race. I just wanted to see it and I didn't get to. I'm not steamed anymore. :)
 
Both NBC & FOX let their local affilicates show anything they want. The LA station probally had a contract to show the info-commercial at that time. If you think its bad now wait untill baseball season starts and your station has a contract to show home games of your team. Here in tjhe Raleigh-Durham, NC area the Raleigh CBS station WRAL is constantally showing ACC basketball instead of regular CBS shows. Thet show the regular shows at 3 qm in the morning.
