Now THAT'S A Finish!

Great race, and I like that Ricky didn't let Carl push him around. Carl sure can't handle losing to the new guys. Used to bang Kyle around, the Keselowski and now Ricky.

How did Carl NOT react much sooner to Rickys blowup? Was he sleeping again?

I would imagine that Ricky's engine dropped oil on the track --- Carl hit it and couldn't turn.

Carl was 7 tenth's behind Ricky, but didn't try to avoid until real late. He never should have been anywhere near Ricky. I rewatched, and Carl doesn't react to all the smoke for a full second.

Did you catch Carls audio before the last restart? "I would say we're even now" after roughing Ricky up. Then, Carl gets into the back of Ricky to try and get him loose under #2 car. Carl freaks out whenever someone touches him, even if they got loose.

He hasn't changed at all, and now he's the really big man. Ricky is like Brad, and he wont back down on the track. My prediction: Carl starts forcing Ricky to 'give him something', and Ricky won't and Carl will try to force the issue. Atlanta all over.

IMO, Edwards is doing Stenhouse a favor by racing him hard in this series and I'll bet that in about 2 to 3 years from now Stenhouse will feel somewhat the same.

I also think that Stenhouse is 100% correct to stand his ground and not back down for Edwards or anyone else. Threatening to wreck him is what got the boss on the radio.

With Carl as his teacher, why would Jack expect anything less from Ricky?

My guess is he doesn't but I suppose he feels it's his job to mediate when necessary.

I know I would...rather than have two of my drivers wreck each other.

WELL......., THANK GOD THEY DIDN'T WRECK EACH OTHER LAST NIGHT......:D:D

I'm thinking the ol' "head for where he is, by the time you get there he'll be gone" procedure set in. Who got into the back of the 33 on the restart and screwed it's day? That kid shows promise.

They didn't wreck each other. Stenhouse blew an engine, Edwards got in the oil and crashed into him.

I'm sure finishing 1-2 takes some of the sting off the wreck.

That makes sense when a car is turned. Carl just doesn't react quickly behind the wheel. I've seen it from him time and time again. He never should have even hit the oil, because he was in the turn when Ricky blew up and had plenty of time to drop low on exit. We know he can do it because we saw hime use the move at Gateway to wreck a competitor for a win.

It's always refreshing to see Eddie Haskell finish second! I am soooo tired of his effen back flips and his two-faced victory circle speeches.

Great to see Ricky stand his ground.
