A foreign country lied to the US government to get some good old US taxpayer $$$. What a concept.

A really crooked US president gave them that money so he could claim to be stopping nuclear proliferation. What an idiot.

Now Bush is in the predicament to either drop what he's doing with Iraq to spank North Korea, or continue down this road and hope NK doesn't flank us.

The world seems to be coming unglued.

There's actually a really good chance we'll be in both conflicts before long. They say our military is capable of winning both simultaneously but, personally, I'd prefer if that didn't have to happen.

When exactly will the title "World War III" be applicable? :(

Bush doesn't have to drop what he's doing in Iraq. Just take it one step at a time. Sort of looks like what he's doing in Iraq has gotten North Korea's attention!!:) Now that they've admitted what they did, we have a better chance of controlling the situation........but, I admit, it would take more guts to "face off" with N. Korea now that we know they, in fact, do have nukes. Should we back step because of it? NO!!!!!!!!!

That's true, DEW, but if we stop and learn from history, maybe we won't make the same mistakes and the world will be a safer place.

I don't see how we can win both conflicts. Clinton depleted our military so much, it will take decades to replenish. When I got out of the Marines in 1994, I tried to re-enlist back into the infantry field. I was ready to pick up Sgt. and was looking foward to staying in the Corps. My career planner told me that every field was closed except electronics. It still blows my mind that something as important as the infantry field was closed. What would have happened if we were invaded? I have always been more worried about China and Korea than anyone else. Now, it may come back to bite us in the ass.

We cannot set back and bury our head in the sand. It's time to call the bluff of all those who flirt with the ability to cause a full scale destruction,or even a major killing of sort.Lets play,or stay home in fear. The only way to stop those terroist who feed on those who claim to dictate control by coward acts is to confront them at the head of the infection that causes this fear.;)And lets quit waisting time setting in our american living room pointing fingers at the political partys.

I agree there pb!

Thanks Wrang,But I want to put a real check list of those who say they are Americans.I am not afraid, and never have been to protect what is a right, and not a giving just because you jump on while the ride is good.Freedom comes with a cost,it may be time to spend a little more effort.;)

As a follow up to my last post (sorry didn't get to it within the 10 mins for editing). The finger pointing is less than useless at this point. The disarming of the the United States began the day the Berlin Wall came down. Seems everyone in their idealistic euphoria decided that the world was "saved"!! We are the world's only "super power".........no reason to worry ever again!! How naive we are........stupid, ridiculus thinking. Disarm? Never!! The strong stay strong by being strong.....and ideas are fine but they don't do a damned thing for you when you have to physically fight!! And, all this mushy chat like "can't we just get along" is doing nothing to protect us. Our military........all of it, encluding our nuclear arsenal are what protects us. Wake up people....we are acting like a herd of ostriches. Surviving in this world is more than just being nice.......it's being mean when you have to be mean.

Some folks were really quick to call Bush's triumverate of evil accusation a sorry mistake. How dare he pick on North Korea who hadn't done an overtly evil thing in years?

Unfortunately, being right, while normally satisfying, does nothing for the world right now. :headshake

Well the terror is real, and so is the threat.I don't want to die without a fight.Put that in any political stage.Wake up America.
