I can't believe how many people are outraged the race isn't happening. Someone messaged me last night griping about it, saying that they should've gone out of their way to make the race happen because the money, down the road, could help hurricane victims.
Um, they need help now. No excuse for generators and valuable resources going to benefit the runners of that race when there's people dying in the areas they would be running through. It just exposes the "me, me, me" attitude many people have in today's society. When you have 109+ people dead, others without power, food or water, running a marathon isn't important.
