I was in the video store two weeks ago and saw a movie I thought looked funny but did not have time to watch. I have been back and can't find it- nor can I remember the title----

The story is of a man who will be the oldest in his family NOT to have "bagged" a deer. So he is on a mission to get a deer before his birthday.
It looked to be one of those stupid/funny movies(aka Dumb and Dumber)
Thanks for any help!!

I don't know the movie but I will look around and ask people if they know. :)

I didn't want you to feel like you were getting ignored. The click certainly let your thread fall away while they dominated the boards. And they say they dont ignore people.

Believe me ksu, you weren't being ignored....we just don't know the movie.
Why not ask the Blockbuster guy/gal?

sorry KSU...don't know the movie either..............but if you find anything out, let us know........I am always up for a good movie............

THERE IS NO CLIQUE HERE..............

ESCANABA IN DA MOONLIGHT

Found it using google.com

Rueben Soady (Jeff Daniels) knows only too well - because at 43, he's the oldest Soady who hasn't yet hunted a deer successfully. Taunted by kids, shunned by adults, Rueben The Buckless Yooper sets out at the beginning of his 15th deer season to the Soady deer camp to pursue the elusive venison that

Wow, Alaska.  I wouldn't have had a clue where to look.

I love old westerns --- the old Durango Kid ones to be exact.  LOL

There is an excellent movie on video right now. A good western called "Texas Rangers" which did nothing at the box office.. Come to think of it it may have been video released only, not sure.

Anyway it is, IMO, definitely worth a look.

Synopsis: In the 1870s, on the lawless border between Texas and Mexico, the oldest law enforcement agency in America was born: the Texas Rangers, who became an enduring symbol of honor and valor. It was a time when Mexican banditos were raiding the border, Indian tribes were battling for their traditional lands and settlers were pushing west by the thousands lured by the promise of a new life. The rustic country along the Rio Grande River was in chaos as gangs raided farms and family ranches, then took refuge south of the river, beyond the reach of local sheriffs and the US Army. Only the Texas Rangers had a chance to turn the tide and bring justice back to the people. One legendary man, Leander McNelly, is chosen to lead a band of unlikely heroes- many of them young, inexperienced men -in a battle with the renegade outlaws who made the Texas frontier the most dangerous place in America.

Alaska,
I am foever in you debt!! Well, maybe be not FOREVER!:p
I will go to the store and get it this weekend.

You're welcome, Dorothy.

Let me know how it is. The title, cast and premise make it worth the cost of a rental.

I rented the movie this weekend. I had funny parts, but overall it was not that great. I was disapointed :( Maybe if it was on TV on a January Sunday afternoon, I would watch it again.
Maybe
Just thoughtI would let you all know.

Thanks for the update, Dorothy.

If you like offbeat movies with a weird sense of humor, rent Amelie. It will keep you intersted and guessing what strange event will come next. French with English subtitles but worth it.
