So, the situation in the AL East is just plain wacky.

If the Orioles win against Boston and the Yankees lose to Tampa, Tampa is going to the playoffs. If the Orioles lose and the Yankees win, Boston is in. If Boston and Tampa both win or both lose, they will play a tiebreaker game on October 30th.

So, Red Sox fans are rooting for the New York Yankees tonight. ESPN has coverage of both games on the networks of ESPN.

Not to mention the NL with the Braves and the Cardinals.

I can only flip between two channels at a time. MASN has the Red Sox/Orioles game, ESPN has the Yankees/Rays and ESPN2 has the Phillies/Braves game.

This is Major League Baseball drama tonight... this is better than Opening Day.

And the Red Sox now begin construction of a Mark Teixeria monument outside Fenway Park. A Yankees Grand Slam and Red Sox fans are cheering louder about it than Yankees fans! :lol2:

Phillies Braves game into the 10th

St. Louis has won so Atlanta needs a win or they are done, though Phillies can set a franchise record with a win for wins with 102

Phillies take a 4-3 lead in the top of the 13th

Bottom of the 13th in Atlanta, not over yet. Bottom of the 11th in a tie game in Tampa. Top of the 9th in Baltimore, Red Sox lead by 1.

This is intense.

NL playoffs are set now

Phillies vs Cardnils

Diamondback vs Brewers

and wow O's walk off:eek:

and there are so seriously pissed off red sox fans in the hall of my dorm:rolleyes:

Bud Selig: "Only baseball could produce a night like that"

Football produces nights like that four nights a week, 20 weeks a year.

And next year they are probably going to add another wild card team that would have made last night totally irrelevant:rolleyes:

The Rangers kind of hurt my feelings in game one. They had me worried for about 4 innings in game two, also. But they finally remembered who they were and scored 8 runs.

No real surprises so far in any of the games.

Great game one for the Phillies, got down early but pulled off the comeback:beerbang:

Good day yesterday. The Rangers won and the Yankees lost. Not much more I could ask for, but that it continue for just one more game.
