Off Work For A Bit

I got hurt at work on October 1st. I fell from the 2nd floor of a barn to the 1st floor, like 8 feet drop and I hit concrete below. I suffered lots of bruises, 5 broken ribs, collapsed lung, hematoma on my right arm. I had to have a chest tube put in to fix my lung. Man is it sore. I am getting better but still have pain. I am on workman's comp pay now. Here are some pics of the injuries...

I got to an ortho doctor Friday to reevaluate my elbow. Make sure I don't lose any mobility in it.

No doubt. Trust me, I didn't make it to the stairs. As bad it was, you are right, it could have been much worse. I could be paralyzed, or even dead had I hit my head.
The worst part was when my girlfriend wasn't around, my mom had to help me out of the shower and get dressed for about a week and a half. that is embarassing...lol

Pretty sure I would have just not showered for a week and a half. :p
 
Sorry to hear about your injuries.
Glad you survived and there was no paralysis.
