Well we know if Steve was in the #30 car and had done what Johnny did there would be a topic with 70 posts ripping Steve apart so lets pick up the pace! What a menace! He doesn't belong on the track!

Im pissed off cause Robby was involved in that mess. But what the hell was Johnny thinking flying in the pits at 180 with the leaders? Almost wrecked them all.

You know it's pretty bad when Mark Martin calls him a weapon.

Don't forget yesterday when he ran into one of his pitguys on pitroad.

Sauter may not be the best driver on the track. But I don't think the Mods are going to be impressed with a tread set up to bash him. :(

They sure don't seem to care when threads are setup to say Steve doesn't belong on the track!

Let's be careful here. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Let's just remember to state it in a mature, uninflamatory way. Bashing threads and posts always walk a very, very fine line. This is just the first race of the season, let's be careful out there.

Two bad moves by Sauter today, he took out 12 cars and could have killed somebody when he flew through the pits. I have said it before and I'll say it again: Sauter isn't ready for cup. I can't see what he did to deserve the #30 ride.

It seems to me that if the spotter had done his job, sauter would have known those guys were pitting, instead he ran down pit road instead of slamming into the back of someone else. as far as the other wreck goes, he got loose and took out other cars. looked like a major rookie mistake. I didn't like it, but someone has to be the rookie.
I really don't want to bash any driver. maybe just see their mistakes.

Me neither. Why are people shying away from this thread?
Reaction time might be a little off :p

Or maybe we just aren't going to post our thoughts on a thread specifically title "bashing"....

I'll be happy to give you my thoughts, but I'm not going to "bash" anyone...

So I'm guessing if that Park thread had bashing in the title people wouldn't of been in there posting Steve doesn't belong in NASCAR?

I don't think anybody has said steve don't belong on a track, I've have always said he's lost a step or two since his accident and some people on here agree to that, I'm not bashing anybody but I tend to agree johnny made some bonehead moves today.

Parkfan, Get a grip. Yes Sauter IMO is not Nextel Cup material but loose the boo hoo attitude when somebody has something negative to say about Park. Nobody here has ever said that Park is a loser that sucks. Some of us just point out that he is really not all there. Its a scary thought and it is definetly not his fault. The guy had a serious brain injury. It still lingers to this day. I wish him the best but who knows if he will ever fully recover.

No doubt, Sauter made two-boneheaded moves out on the track that couldve gotten people killed today.

Grow up child... no sense in making a thread to bash Johnny.

I'll say it.

Steve Park does not and did not belong on a race track. He hits more walls than a racquetball.

And he's preferable to Sauter. He showed what he was made of last fall at Richmond. He thought it was real funny to see how many times he and his little buddy Kevin could hit Kenseth's car. Sauter is the latest in a long line of Richard Childress hit men. Nothing more you can say about it. He's a jerk and he's gonna get his dingus knocked up in his watch pocket when he takes the wrong driver out.

he made a couple of bonehead moves today, you battin a 1000 johnny

Seriously though, was Johnny Sauter the reason why Air Force One had to take off halfway through the race?

Seriously? I doubt it.

It just could be the President of this country had more pressing issues to tend to. NASCAR is important.....but it ain't at the top of importance. :D

There is a reason they put a yellow stripe on the rear bummper. All rookies make mistakes. They have a lot to learn in Cup. Wimmer did a great job sun., but he will make mistakes this year too.
As a charter member on this board, I think Paul would have locked this thread as soon as it was written. He would not have put up with a bash on any driver. (Even a Bodine) ;)

I agree with Tabasco.... Paul wouldn't have any of this. But what i'm wondering is... why do some of you take the time to bash drivers, but when yours is wrecked... you can't take the bashing?

And yes, Parkfan, I'm also talking about you.... just incase your wondering.

That's all I want to know. Why can you dish it but not take it?

I'm gonna disagree with what the former owner of this site might have or might not have done with this thread. It depended on his mood at the moment and who might have originated it and who might have posted on it. But, then that former owner and I had a rather serious falling out so take what I have to say with that in mind.

But it does make me wonder why Paul is even mentioned here. I was under the impression he sold his site and has no interest in it any longer. Hope that's true.

why is this thred still open? Tabasco brings up a good point Sauter is a rookie and he's gonna make mistakes.

Because other than the title and the first post, noone else has bashed Johnny Sauter. The consensus of this thread is that Johnny made several mistakes. Huge rookie mistakes.

If so many of you have had a problem with this thread, why didn't you report it as such? This board relegates freedom of expression, opinion and such, and that is also within reason. The individual who started this thread, unfortunately hasn't returned (to the best of my knowledge) since he started this thread. At least he hasn't made another post in this particular thread if he has. I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you don't like a post, or the way a post is headed, there is a button to click where you can report a post/thread. There is no need to compare this board to the way it was run when paul owned it to now, now that sam owns it. Two different times and two different individuals.

All of the mods are available to answer any of your questions via PM.

So, with that being said, I will close the thread.
