My girlfriend's daughter is in town from Colorado, so we opened a few gifts early. My girlfriend got me a GoPro HD Motorsport camera :beerbang:

The 1, 2, or 3? You'll love it, regardless. The 3's are pretty trick I hear, but nowhere near what I could afford. I have an original non-HD and a 2.

I got the HD2
I can't wait to use it :)
you race too, or ?

I keep mine on 720p 60fps with a 32GB class 10 SD card, but it works just fine with a 16GB class 6 as well. The spec bitrate for that setting is 15 megabits per second, which is a Class 2 speed, but I like having a really big buffer, incase I choose to go 1080P narrow @ 30 which calls for a class 4 minimum. The new gopro 3's pretty much require a class 6 minimum, class 10 ideal.

I have a 32GB card but I haven't opened it yet. I heard that the earlier models had some issues with certain brand SD cards. I hope I got the right one.

The 2's fine. The non-HD was the most picky, I have a sandisk 2GB in it. The HD1 wasn't too bad but I haven't used it.

This whole video was shot with the HD2. At the tail end, I have the non-HD PIP'd in.

HUH??? Oh geek talk, carry on. :D

So far I've gotten peace and quiet in the rv at the camp. Priceless. :D

Wish I could afford a GoPro, those things are awesome! But, my DSLR needs parts first (which I won't get for Christmas, I know).

I already know that I'm getting a T3 to replace my SX10...how often do you take yours in for cleaning/service? We've never taken my mom's EOS Rebel in and I've been told every 5,000 or so or once a year. I'm approaching 15,000 on my SX10 and it's showing it's age.

I haven't. I clean the body myself, and learned how to clean the sensor from some youtiube videos

As far as personal material things, the only thing I really want for Christmas is a new Josh Hamilton jersey, even if he now plays for the previously hated Angels. He's my favorite athlete, what can I say? I know I won't get it though. Just not in the budget this year. Being disabled, and thus far not compensated for that, I'm not contributing financially so I am totally cool with that. Maybe if I win my appeal in March.

Jerseys are costly, got a Bruins jersey for my son a couple of years ago and the price was a shock. I don't want or expect anything. I'd rather my kids save the money then spend it on me. Wife and I have a agreement although we both go over the limit we've set.
My brother and wife will be here later today, tomorrow it'll be just the wife, kids and me. More than enough for me.

I'm sure there will be plenty of his rangers stuff FS soon.

Matching outdoor lighting(lampost, garage and front door) that the elves didn''t replace.
Socks, cologne, 2 Bristol tix, and some stuff for the camper...

Peace and quiet in the countryside plus lots of hugs and kisses from the wife, kids, grandkids and great grandkids, and of course all kinds of super good edibles.

WWE 13
Dolph Ziggler shirt and coat
Dr Pepper Pants
Angry Birds Shirt and Pants
Some Blue Jeans
X-Box Point Card

:) Happy with that

2 flannels and a black hooded zip up sweat jacket from my wife, a mouse pad that looks and is shaped exactly like my Stratocaster from my son, and a box of turtles from my girls.

We went to my girls parents house today for the killer Xmas feast. Had a great dinner. My girlfriends parents stoked me out with a ton of accessories for my new GoPro, including the WiFi BacPac and WiFi Remote.
The instructions say that I need to update the software before using it. I'm guessing a bunch of people must've gotten GoPro goodies because the GoPro website is down
I hope everyone had a great day filled with family and friends and plenty of good food.

I got the best Christmas present ever today, and it didn't cost a damn thing - an old coat my father used to wear.

I also got a wristband for my Tissot watch and some rum.

I can't wait to buy a Tim Tebow jersey! :)

You should have seen the rukus that caused on facebook...and I had 2 friends get Hero3's. Was yours a 3 or a 2?

I got the Canon T3, my yearly box of coin proofs from the US Mint, a hoodie and shirt, $$ for new tires on my truck and 100 spending money. And a very white christmas that will be on national news tomorrow for Texas' inept drivers.

Mine is a 2.
Official statemement from GoPro: "...Like many sites on the Internet such as Netflix and Instagram, gopro.com runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS). On December 24, 2012, for an as of yet unknown reason, AWS went down and affected large swaths of the internet, which included our site. Our engineers have been working around the clock to mitigate this problem. As of 12PM PT on December 25, 2012, Amazon has fully restored service, and we have in turn been diligently working to restore all services on gopro.com..."

Got that right TRL. My brother and his wife popped in Christmas Eve for a few hours. A very good time.

I got two bottles of wine and a 20$ gift card. But what was the best was what the wife said during our Christmas dinner, "This is one of the best Christmas' I've had because I've got my family, two kids and spouses and best cousin, here". I'll take that over anything. BTW, the two bottles of wine were gone before the evening was over. Gonna use the gift card for a nice New Years Eve dinner.
