Oh, My- Did You See Roush

Jack was watching the monitor after Busch pitted when Jamie asked him a question about Matt. He snapped "I'm trying to pay attention here" and a few seconds later Jamie said to him "Maybe we'll ask you in victory lane". Jack turned to her as the mikes went silent with his finger in her face and a "don't ever do that again" look on his face.

99.9% of reporters, pit road or otherwise are dopes. Couple of laps to go, his cars running up front for the win, and miss cutesy gets in his face. Lady, he had a lot going on that was more demanding of his attention then you, get over it.

I hate reporters, especially the ones who run up breathlessly "You just learned your wife was killed, dog raped, house burned down, and immigration just raided your factory. Can you tell me and the viewers how you feel?"

Outside of Mr. Lincoln getting shot, how'd you like the play Mrs. Lincoln?

I agree that Jamie should have asked off camera first or gotten the high sign or what ever from Jack but he just bothers me as a grouch and a pain in the butt. I would have a hard time having him as my boss, I prefer the Hendrick approach, hire good people and let them do their job until they prove they can't and then get involved not the micro manage approach. JMHO

I saw it and if he could take the time out to tell her off, maybe he could have said a few decent words. Pit reporters, any reporters, may ask stupid questions, but it's their job and a producer or whomever, gave them the assignment. Also, let's face it, the pit reports, etc., make it much more interesting for the fans. I do agree there's times they should back off and just give them a minute or so, but sometimes they get that great "sound bite" or picture and if they didn't do it, some other reporter is going to try, like it or not.

Jamie isn't just a pretty face, btw; she's done a lot of indoor off-road racing and won last year's Toyota Pro/Celeb race outright as a "Celebrity"! :)

The other thing is, being covered by the media is what adds to their bank accounts. No interest, no money. Suck it up. You're a rich man and we "barely scraping it together fans" are the ones buying the tickets and giving them the TV ratings. The fans still watching that is. ;) Yes, I'm still watching and I love watching. Having the things they do on TV let's me see things I'd never get to see if I only went to races and didn't know someone (which I don't) who could get me in to see it. I understand there are tense moments when you don't really want to speak to the media, but I've seen plenty of other guys who were disappointed, on the edge, whatever, who manage to say a few words. She backed off. There was no reason for him to go over pointing a finger in her face. It just made him look bad.
