Beating Michigan is always a beatiful thing, even when the game is so ugly.

Both teams spent a lot of time slipping and sliding all over a cold, wet field. Neither team was able to throw or catch a slick ball much at all. So the game turned into an old fashioned bad weather game where running the ball and playing great defense was paramount. The Buckeyes were able to do both well enough to win. Chris "Beanie" Wells, a local kid, ran 39 times for 222 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Buckeyes defense stuffed the run and sacked and hurried the quarterback all day. They also intimidated the MU receiver's into dropping balls they would ordinarily catch. It may have been the first time in the historic rivalry that a team was held to under 100 total yards for the game as Michigan totaled just 93 total yards.

Now it is likely on to the Rose Bowl for the Buckeyes and on to a life of knowing that they never were able to beat Ohio State for the Wolverine's senior class of Mike Hart, Chad Henne, etc. :beerbang:
