How many questions is this guy going to ask Robby about last weekend?

I think he asked 7 questions in 17 seconds, and asked twice if he and Greg Biffle were fine after what happened last week. "Yeah, we're fine." Reporter: "So what did you say to him?" Robby: "I said we're fine, why?" Reporter: "How is your future with RCR?"

Damn, punch him already.

He 's being a reporter, Thats what they do. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, but thats what they get paid to do. And i'm sure they are fine with each other, yeah right. :p

Surprisingly as it may seem; most of the guys leave all those "problems" at the track and are pretty good friends off track. Don't let all that silly media hype fool ya. And, yes, I think the reporters take things just a wee bit too far sometimes!!!! They should know when to back off. But, that's media mentality I guess.

:bounce: The person who interviewed Robbie Gordon is named Marty Snyder.

HE IS NOT A REPORTER.
In my opinion, Marty Snyder is not a reporter or even the shadow of a reporter. He is a muck-racking, yellow-journalism type, sleaze hound who should be loading garbage trucks. If he were a reporter he would ask sensible questons, get the answers and move on.

How he got the position (yes, it is a position) must be questioned as no one with his ability would be hired to do what he does unless their father owned the broadcast company or his uncle paid to put this guy in the employ of a major sport venue broadcasting company. Snyder's ability is limited to making a fool of himself while trying to make others look and act badly. One can only assume, and we all know what that word means, he is being paid to do whatever it is he does so poorly.

This is not the first time Snyder has pulled the same crap.

Sure we get annoyed with some reporters, but first a person must reach that plateau and Snyder has a long way to go. If you don't like his tactics, send an e-mail to TBS and NBC registering your complaint. Marty Snyder is not good for NASCAR or the sport in general.
There is a remote possibility he might eke out a living with The Star or Enquirer chasing stories about aliens, five headed cows or verifying an English prince was made into a frog.

Marty Snyder is BAD news and no news. He might have the title of "reporter" but he lacks the ability, common sense, normal decency and civility to be a real honest to goodness reporter.

Guess you can tell he is not one of my favorites, but then I tend to like "nice" people. :D

Any way we can get Marty Smith hired by one of the two networks? That man is naturally funny. Does not have to put on an act.

Naturally funny?????
Izzat like Nutrasweet being "naturally sweet"???????

ROTFLMBO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are we talking about Marty Smith or Marty Snyder? Marty Smith does a weekly thing with about 4 others on NASCAR.com..........called "Track Smack". He tries to be funny using sarcasm.......but, I don't particularly like sarcastic humor so he leaves me cold on that note. He also does a couple of real stupid commercials for NASCAR. I would never call him a reporter......just a really stupid internet blog that has a hard time finding a hat that will fit him. :)

Marty Snyder........I'm not sure I know who he is. Seems like a familiar name but there are so many "reporters" out there. Anyone with a computer and internet connection can be a "reporter" I guess. There are untold numbers of "race recaps" on untold number of NASCAR web sites. And almost every one of those "recaps" are from the television broadcasts of the races.

Hmmmmmmm............wonder what the pay is? :D

Never heard of Marty Smith and do not understand why he, or she, is being introduced to this thread since it was about Marty Snyder, or Snider.
Normally I am a stickler for correct spelling and pronunciation of names, as in Snyder or Snider, but in this case it matters little. No respect is the difference.

DEWrangler2, once you watch the interviews it is easy to tell which is the real fool.

My biggest disappointment is the network continues to use him. Sorta like CBS keeping Dan Rather in a top slot after the recent fiasco he perpetuated on the public and using his so-called "respectability and reputation" to back him up. Well, so much for both of those credentials.

There are limits and lines drawn in the sand when it comes to good reporting. Then there is the Marty Snyder (Snider) interview. Keep digging until someone says or does something out of frustration and/or character as a result of incesant badgering. Snyder does not interview, he badgers. Thusly, he is not a reporter or good interviewer, reinforcing my thought he would be better as a copy-boy at the Star or Enquirer.

The guy "Marty" didn't ask the question enough times to suit me.. I think Robby commited an offense and he should not be let off by the press or US either. Sure he said he is sorry... He HAD to say that to keep his job.. YOU would have said it too. But IS he sorry... prolly about having his job on the line I am sure, but is he sorry for rough driving? Prolly not! He has not paid enough penalty to suit many of us and the reporter (Marty) knows this and did what he could to remind Robby.

If Robbie Gordon were to be drawn and quartered in full public view, AFTER being tarred and feathered, it most likely would not have been severe enough punishment for his detractors. And while they are meteing out that punishment, why not give the same treatment to Robbie's Mom and Dad. After all, they were the catalyst leading up to last weeks temper tantrum. Might that take up some of the slack and make the RGordon disbeleivers feel better about themselves????

FWIW, it is not a reporters job to repeatedly remind the public and/or driver of their transgressions. Neither is it acceptable for an interviewer to pass judgement. Good reporters and interviewers always remain impartial.

No matter, Robbie is racing this weekend. What happened last week is old news. It is his-tor-ry. It is time to move on.

Fortunately, only one of the people will be doing the "stand up and watch me make a fool outa myself " routine in the pits this weekend.
Marty Snyder(Snider). :bleh:
