Suddenly Jimmy Johnson hits the wall and his car is belching huge flames. The car drifts across the track on fire... The camera man cuts away from the terrible crash that is still happening and shows the flagman waving the YELLOW! Wave after wave the camera stays on the flagman.
Then the camera cuts back to Johnson's car which is still burning and he is struggling to get out..THEN the camera cuts away to show a woman, (probably Mrs. Johnson) in the pits watching the event..
Then after what seems like hours of watching this woman, the camera cuts back to Jimmy, who is standing at the guard rail watching his car burn..
I am in awe of the camera guys and their poor choices of what to show the viewer! What they need is a FAN in the trailer running things!
Betsy:rolleyes:

No kidding!!! I was so annoyed at they way they cut away to STUPID things at STUPID times. I got up many times and just walked away in frustration. At least I taped it so I can look at what I want to see when they finally showed a replay of it.

They do a much better job with the Busch race. The commercials today were ridiculous. Yeah...bigger race, more expensive ads, gotta show 'em... we lose. GAH!!!!

The most blatant incident that I noticed was the Kasey Khane interview that they never cut away from while that huge wreck was happening in the background

I can understand the Jimmie incident. They didn't know what the outcome was going to be and they didn't want to show his potential demise on TV. They showed the wreck and then cut away when they saw how dangerous it was going to be. They possibly thought it was OK but then saw he was not out of danger so they showed his wife until they were sure he was safe.
I know some of you, especially the HMS haters, would have loved to seen him running around the track on fire but thank goodness the cameramen don't share your gruesomeness.
As to the big wreck, yeah that was odd and I don't have an explanation for it.

they did cut away and showed what was happening on the track they just kept on letting kasey talk while they were wrecking
