I know that most of the people on this board weren't even alive when Joe Namath won the Superbowl, but for those of you who were, what team did you root for back in '69? I was sitting in a barracks at Forbes AFB near Topeka, Kansas, watching the game. There were only two of us who were rooting for the NY Jets and let me tell you, when that game was over, we did some pretty big crowing! :) Though I really didn't know that much of Joe when he was playing at Alabama, I do remember seeing some of his senior year and I became of fan of his from then on. I was lucky that the station I watched back in Oklahoma chose to show most of the Jets games. It's sort of funny too because I had always been a huge Colts fan because of Johnny U.

Boston Pats! Looks like at that time, Tom Sherman was the main QB with Gino Cappelletti as his main receiver. I liked them when K State's Steve Grogan threw for them.

Still a Pats fan! But My Falcons won today! HOORAY! Maybe a wild card for the Superbowl pick (but doubt it).

Gino was one fine receiver, but LOVED Steve Grogan.

My beloved Bears bit the dust once more to the lowly Panthers. I could here those cheers all the way up here from Charlotte. As you would say...Oi Vey!:)

Not much of a football fan, but I remember Broadway Joe. The Packers won today, so the cheeseheads are happy. They are going for home field advantage in the playoffs. I think they will make it. The Pack loves to play at Lambeau in the cold.
