Okay, I know there are some serious beer drinkers out there and I want to know what beer you think is the absolute best. Now don't come on with those watered down light beers. We're talking real beer here like stouts, ales, porters, lagers etc. Being an Irishman...at least my surname family...I prefer a real Irish beer, Guiness Extra Stout. Draught is best, but even a bottle of Guiness is bettern than just about any American beer. Dark beers are my favorites as you can see. When this country started the great phase of bringing in more exports and having micro brewers pop up everywhere, I began to test and now that's my biggest bane. I usually will pay more for a six/four pack than those watered down beers cost for a case! But, I think I get more enjoyment out of them. So what do you prefer? DEW, I bet you are one of those watery types, aren't you! :D

 So?:(

If you really want to know.........Bud Light!!:)

But, I can do a 12 pack of Bud Light and still type.........can you do that with Guiness?:D

hahahhahahha boy Buckaroo...you have DE pegged don't you...
he drinks BUD LIGHT.........I always say it is P** water and not real beer............if I want a beer, I want a beer............hahahhahhaa............but I will admit, I did buy miller lite cause it was on sale...............can't resist a sale now........

I usually drink corona..or tecate......I like the mexican beers.......with lime.........:)
never had the ones you mentioned.......

:D :D :D I knew it, I knew it. :D :D :D

Here's the advantage of my beer vs. your beer. Once you've drank that case of beer, you spend all your time going to the can to get rid of it. I reach the same level of idiocy with less liquid, therefore when I fall to the floor and passout, I won't pee my pants! :D

QT, at least YOU have good taste in beer! :D

Buckaroo...boy your right there..DE sure spends a lot of time in the bathroom..........:D :D :D :D
and plus waking up in the middle of the night, disturbing my beauty sleep to go the bathroom:D :D

I prefer Nordic Wolf (ale), but drink Busch Lite. A few wake up calls in the middle of the night for me too!

Kat, never heard of the Nordic Wolf Ale. I can already tell that I'd like that. Can't say that I've seen it here. Where's it made? Have you ever tried Black Dog Ale? It's not bad and made somewhere up in Washington I believe. How about Blackened Voodoo Lager? Great beer made by Dixie Beer. Again, you can see that I like those dark beers. :)

Buckster, I haven't seen Nordic Wolf since I moved to GA in '94. It was readily available in better stores in New England and I believe it is made in Canada. I like their Amber Ale.

Remember when I believe it was AB made Red Wolf. That wasn't all that bad, but it would get you drunk quick. If I'm gonna get drunk, I'll do it with cheap beer. :)

Newcastle.

Geary's and Bass are good too.

The only use for that other mass produced stuff is to have it on hand for guests that don't know the difference between beer and dishwater so they don't drink mine. :)

There you go Paul. :) One time I had a case of some very good and expensive stuff and had a friend from Raleigh over to watch a race. She ended up drinking the very best stuff. Hated that! The only good thing is that she will reciprocate if we ever get over to her place to watch a race. :) I'll be sure and have a couple of hers.

Ya, but then you need to spend the night in the bathroom!

Paul, Bass is nummy! Never had Geary's.

Buck, I can't get with them dark beers. If I want a beer, and I usually do, I don't want to feel like I just ate a dang loaf of bread with it.

To answer....for typical consumption, Coors Light. Or Rolling Rock. Or whatever is cold. Or whatever somebody else bought and I can filch.

I will tip some Coronas and lime in the summer.

I've been known to imbibe a few Amstels or Foster's from time to time.

And if I really do want that loaf of bread...St. Pauli Girl.

TWF, you got some good ones there. Aside from the girly beers of course. I guess good strong beers are an aquired taste. I guess I started drinking those heavy beers about 15 years ago or so. Up til then, any beer would suit me, including the cheapest out there. I tried out some great imports and the rest as they say is history. What is considered by many, and I'll concur, as the best beer in the world is...

I think a well brewed beer is an art, many of my friends brew their own beer and the amount of craftsmanship that goes into making a distinct, well rounded beer is an artform.

A good beer is like a Stevie Ray guitar solo, once you taste it you realize all the rest are just filler.
