#37-Derrike Cope will be running in Saturday night's Sharpie 500 at Bristol. Looking ahead to that event Derrike commented, "We are looking forward to Bristol. We had a good qualifying effort there earlier in the year and ran well until we encountered mechanical problems. In addition to Friendly’s, we are pleased to have SP Films join us as a major Associate Sponsor." Looking back on last his 34th place finish at Michigan Derrike remarked, "I was really not happy with our performance at Michigan last week. We took a car that we hadn't run much because of damage to some of our other units. We struggled with handling and some motor issues. We made a bad choice in manifolds for the race and as a result our engine lacked output. We will continue to forge ahead and benefit from our experience." After Bristol this week, Derrike will be running in the Southern 500 at Darlington, South Carolina August 31

Nothing wrong with wanting to race.
As long as you race and not quit after two laps and take the money.

I like the way he calls the race car "units" , yea you sure have wrecked a few.... :D
Fast cash = run a few laps in NASCAR

He's nowhere near as bad about finishing a race as Morgan Shepard.

I will say that Cope actually attempts to run the race, where Sheppard....well, you know. ;)

Yep, Mr. Morgan "Scuff me a set of tires, will ya?!" Shepard.
