After not hearing DW for a better part of a year, I thought, okay he won't annoy me tonight. Then I kept seeing those Aarons commericals. Once Mikey said those horrible words, I took the volume off on all commericals!!!
 
As annoying as that got last year, it sure was nice to hear it tonight!
 
I'd rather listen to DW all day long then be annoyed by Allen Bestwick. Last year I could hardly stand to watch a race on NBC with him laughing at so many of his own "jokes". In my opinion hes the worst commentator in Nascar history.
 
DW doesn't really annoy me that much. The only thing that gets me is "boogity, boogity, boogity" :bleh:
 
Dw doesn't anoy me to much, I just wish they (fox,Nbc) would have better coverage of the whole field. I admit though, I would have watched it with anyone anouncing or covering it. Was just happy to see some NWC racing again.

DW is alright, that little "Too Starched" Bestwick is the annoying one!
 
I'd take Dw over Bestwick any day, and i don't mind the Boogity thing at all. Bestwick is just too anal, and i think Fox does a much better job than NBC covering the race anyway. :rolleyes:
 
You can tell DW still has the passion for racing when he's calling a race on tv.

I laughed when he stopped himself after saying "I could be out there, (yes he could after winning in the past) but...."

He was afraid to say "Stevie wouldn't let me!"

Wuss! LOL. I will always be a DW fan, ALWAYS but I would sure rather see him racing than in the booth.

DW don't annoy me. It's Fox having nonstop commericals with a little bit of race in between. :angry:
 
DW has become a babbling has been racer. Most of what he says is more emotionally related then anything. Some of the stuff he says may have been true 10 years ago but the current progress of the sport has bypassed him. He makes calls about the way cars are handling and the cause that are just wrong. I must admit that some of his stuff is fun to listen to but the fact that much of it is inaccurate annoys me.

I can't see how you people think that FOX does better coverage then NBC. Do you think DW does anything except show up to babble for a few hours? At least Benny and Wally are interacting with the drivers/crew/etc and have a clue as to the current progress of the sport. To me that's better coverage. If you want to hear that the broadcaster's spinkters are tight as a drum because the racing is close, I guess FOX does a better job. If you want to hear what's actually happening with the drivers/cars, NBC does a better job, IMHO.

That being said, I'll watch FOX and NBC, because I love Nascar!

Give me anybody alive over that babbling overblown twit. Gilbert Godfried. Fran Drescher. Roseanne Barr. Joe Millionairre. I don't care.

Jaws was chicken behind the wheel. He was a coward and a dirty driver who whined his way to restrictor plates because his heap could not keep up with Bill Elliott. He was annoying then, and he is worse now.

Thank God for MRN.
 
I liek DW and the whole Fox/SPEED/FX &NBC/TNT teams.
The only complaint I have is that they are not as "excited" when there is good passes or a good fight for spot. They all just basicly watch it happen then talk abotu it. They don't say phrases like "On the inside" and other things liek ESPN used to do. I wish Bob Jenkins would move to the NBC team in place of Wally.

:cheers: :cheers: I got sick of DW, but you've all corrected me. Bestwick is and will always be the worst.

Whoever said NBC is better because of Wally and Benny though, here's one for you :cheers:
 
Alan Bestwick doesn't annoy me at all and DW doesn't annoy me too badly exept for that stupid boogity thing he's got going on. The guy who stirs me to a spittin' rage is Larry Mac. Listen to those irritating voice inflections, especially when he says "hisself". :angry:
