"Failure is not part of our deal."

"This is an extreme amount of disappointment."

"Our responsibility is to succeed from an African-American perspective because the track record hasn't been that great."

"We have to be competitive."

Sam Belnavis, co-owner of the BH Motorsports who's #54 with Ron Hornaday at the wheel only went faster than Terry and Back Row Joe in qualifying Friday.

Where are they going to get the help to be competitve? That question needs addressed first.

Good question. Maybe they should look into getting some factory help. I don't know if thst's possible. How about starting in ARCA or Busch to get experience. The technology of racing in Cup is expensive and complex. Lots of sponsor dollars can't hurt. Hiring experienced people is also a good choice, providing you have the money for them. I guess what it comes down to, though, is patience and hard work. Just my thoughts.

I don't see why they are so surprised that they didn't make the race. Maybe this will be a wake up call to them that they need to do more than buy a car and pop a Hendrick motor in to be successful.

I agree with nascarwoman. They need patience and hard work. They are probably working hard, but without knowledge of what you need, it's hard to know what to work on.

I'm surprised that Chip has risen as quickly as he has. I'm surprised that AJ can keep a Cup car on track. I'm not surprised that the 54 didn't make the race so much as I am about how poorly it showed.

Figure Ron got the set-ups he called for but he just missed it. They'll be back.

They will be back, and whether they are with Ron or not, I wonder how well they will do. What they are trying to do is very admirable but very difficult. I wouldn't be surprised to see them to make a race here and there, but I don't think they will make every race.
