On the eve of war, my thoughts...
War is a very touchy subject. War is never nice nor pleasant but unfortunately there are times I feel it is necessary. Now is one of them. Saddam needs to be removed.
Some say "give him more time." To that I say hog wash. Twelve years is enough time. The past few months is enough time. Some say "Bush is trying to finish what his daddy didn't." I find this to be unfounded and childish.
Things that bother me. Democrats and the like attacking the President on the eve of war. Tree huggers who want to dance around all day blowing soap bubbles thinking the world will take care of it's self. That peace and love can concur all. How soon do we forget what potential, tragic events can happen.
I participate on a hosting forum where members are from all over the world. Makes it interesting. Yet strangely, I catch more flack from fellow Americans. I've been told to join the service if I believe in the cause. (I tried to join the Army back in '76) I've been told to not believe the President. Course these very people backed Bill Clinton.
In closing...
I support President Bush (or any President in the time of war), our military (before and after), and the need to fight for freedom. Ours and others. I give President Bush credit for having the balls to take the stand he has. Much more credit than I would ever give his predecessor.
Let us all pray for a quick end to this pending war with the least amount of casualties on BOTH sides. Let's pray for Iraq people who want the US to help. Who need the US to help. God bless America.
