For me ,it was the indelible impression stamped on me as a 6 year old. I can still smell the leaded fuel exhaust, the noise, the burning rubber, fans cheering
and a bag of cotton candy balled up into a hard baseball and eaten like an apple. I got it then and still get it now, no matter the evolution.
