At least that is what Bill Elliott was describing himself as on Sunday!:)

With the car jumping out of gear Bill was constantly pulling the car in and out of gear with his right hand and driving only with his left. In case you were wondering they did not go to a bungee cord to hold the car in gear because neither Bill nor his crew chief felt that it would be strong enough to hold it. Bill reported that he could barely hold it gear with his arm. Neither wanted the car to unexpectedly jump out of gear any more, so Bill just took it out manually so there were no surprises.
 
Good stuff HS, I was wondering about that.. I think it was really driving Wally D crazy 'cause that's all he talked about. And if he said "bongie" one more time....
 
Bill was the hardest working man on the track last Sunday. That's for damn sure.
 
I think he had the drive of the day. 22nd with one hand on the lead lap. If he didn't have a problem he should have one. This year has sure quieted the Elliott is washed up crowd hasn';t it.
 
I agree, Bill would have been at the front if not for that problem. I think he and DJ would have put on a good show at the end. I never thought an engine could stay together going from 2000 to 9000 rpm twice a lap all day long.
 
I understood what you meant, we all do that at times. ;)

Are you sure you really want to use that kind of language in a public forum?? Why not just English or symbols instead of Yiddish curse words?

Uh. Can't a person even give themselves a hard time around here. As far as putz goes they use it on tv and everywhere else.
 
Well I was one of them that thought Bill E. was a washed up has been.... but man did he ever prove that I was wrong :eek:
 
And here I thought that Newman had to work hard when he lost power steering on the road course......
