One cool thing that happened in D.C. this morning...

I saw that. It's funny --- it's out in the open air, not a building, but now it has guards?

Its a decision from higher up...its really ridiculous.

The George Washington Parkway runs along the Potomac River and has several pull offs and small parks. Most people park and either walk or run the trail along the river. Yesterday I was driving the Parkway and barriers were placed in front of the pull offs.....maybe blocking nothing more than six to eight parking spots.

Technically, people walking The Mall in DC are subject to arrest, as well as going to the Lincoln Memorial and other monuments. But you won't find a Park Police Officer who will enforce it. I even heard from several people a few officers were removing the barriers at the WWII Memorial so the Vets could come in.
