He's back at the vet with a catheter in, my poor guy. This is the second go round doing this. He had stones the first time, now he's just all full of infection and can't pee. I feel so bad for him and for me. Don't know where I am going to come up with the money but I can't just let him die. :(

Know the feeling, I just put 500 bucks in my 11 year old lab. But you know what we find a way. There family. Good luck to you. Hope the little guys does good.

It sucks when one of your pets is sick. Pets can be very expensive. One of my last dogs needed a patellar tendon repair, the other one needed a TTA ACL repair.

We just took one of our dogs in this morning for a $5000 knee operation I kid you not.
She stays in for 2 nights so well get her back Friday.
I had to build a ramp for her today to get up the stairs into the house.

He came home last Sat, went back last Sunday unable to pee. He's been there ever since. He's been very lethargic with a catheter in. He still has blood in his pee. He was full of inflammation. Today I got a call, Leo is improving. His electrolytes are better finally. I just hope he can pee on his own tomorrow when they take his cath out tomorrow. He no longer has stones, at least they did not show up on the x-ray. The last few days have been hell, trying to figure out how to pay for all this? Like I said, it's been a bad few days.

He's happy to be home.

He had surgery today. His bladder was full of blood clots and his lining was a thick white mass. His ***** also had some broken up stones in it. He may be able to come home in a few days with a cath in.

Thank you all so much. I am going to call and see how he's doing this morning. I imagine he's hurting but I know they are giving him pain meds.

Leo is home for now with a catheter in. There may still be a problem with his *****, he may need surgery on it too but he needs to heal from his bladder surgery first.

If it makes you feel any better, my mom has a problem cat. She's like 2 years old, diabetic(yeah wtf?) and 4.5 lbs. she eats all day and it all just runs through her. She has other problems too. For some reason she lost most of her teeth so she can only eat wet food... My mom has to inject insulin shots multiple times a day, as well as another drug.. I don't know all the details.. But she's a sweetheart. As time goes on though it seems unrealistic to keep her alive. She really doesn't have a quality life.

My dog was 12 when she developed a brain tumor. I had her on p-barb for the final year until the seizures got real bad. It sucks when our pets are sick.

I have been so stressed out with worry over this. He seems so happy to be home despite having to wear the cone of shame. He's eating, which he would not do at the vet and drinking small amounts of water.

Thank you. :)

Today, Leo pulled out his cath part of the way. I had to help take it out the rest of the way. What a kitty momma won't do.

Now we have to wait and see if he can pee on his own.
