Open practice scheduled Saturday, Feb. 24 at Volunteer Speedway
BULLS GAP, Tenn. - Weather permitting an afternoon of open practice for all classes is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 24 at Volunteer Speedway. The pit gate will open at noon, with practice scheduled to take place between 1-6 p.m.
Pit admission on Saturday, Feb. 24 is $20 per person. Those who would like to watch practice from the grandstands, there will not be a charge for admission.

All competitors and crew members are encouraged to read the 2007 Volunteer Speedway track rules. Be familiar with them. The complete rules may be found on the Web site at www.volunteerspeedway.com in the left-hand side menu by clicking "2007 Track Rules."
Below are a few rules I wanted to make sure everyone is aware of:
*** No radios will be permitted in 2007 in any class!!!
*** All drivers are required to wear racing gloves. (Mechanix Wear gloves, or any racing gloves with the fingers cut out will not be allowed.)
*** All drivers, please check your seatbelts for the date. No seatbelts over two years old will be permitted. The manufacturers label must be attached.
*** All competitors, window nets are required.
*** All cars must have working fire extinguisher within reach of the driver.
*** Hobby Stock competitors: With headers being allowed in 2007, please take note that no turn-down headers will be permitted. Open headers are allowed, but the pipes can't be turned down toward the racing surface.
