The BoSox lost, per usual.
I enjoyed the bosox loss.
thats the second straight year that tampa has opened the season with a share of 1st in the AL East

But the yanks won, lost jeter. Season's over as far as i'm concerned. Its gonna feel like a split squad game during spring training for a long time.

Season is over? he is gone for 2 weeks.

The Cubbies are in first place in the central!

I was pretty upset about that, especially after they had a three run lead in the 9th. But the Yankees lost a lot more than they won.

I am just now startign to watch baseBall. WHo are soem good teams, Indiana doe snot have a MLB team so I can't go with the home team!

Teams near you would be the Chicago White Sox (AL), Chicago Cubs (NL), Cleveland Indians (AL), and Cincinnati Reds (NL). But if I were you, I would root for any team but the Yankees. B)

The Indians lost. They will doing a whole lot of that this year. Larry Dolan can not afford to pay enough to field a winning team. No more winning in Cleveland for the forseeable future. :(

... and Tampa is first in the AL East

I think he'll be gone for like a month or two at least. Jeter is the heart and soul of the yankee team. Somebody is going to have to step up and take a leadership role. Its going to be a long April and May for the yanks.

Damn Yankees lost Jeter which is a blow to them....but not enough, they have such talent on that team due to the fact the George buys the best team every year......they can field 2 teams...$$#@**&&^^% Yankees!

I can't see how anybody could actually root for the Yankees. It is like rooting for Microsoft or something. He who has the most money will win in Major League Baseball. Not all the time, but tha VAST majority of the time they will. The Yankees can afford to make many mistakes in judgement on player acquisitions, etc. but George just writes another check to fix it. It is rediculous. But, I will still enjoy watching it in spite of the owners and the players. It is still baseball, and they can't take that away from me.

I'm from Mass. and have been a Red Sox fan since i was old enough to understand the game which was around age 5. I despise the Yankees ...they are the enemy......lol, i love to root for my Sox and bet with my sister every year that the Yankees will fall flat on their faces. So far i owe her a lot of dinners, but just the fact that we have baseball is all that matters to me. I love the game and wouldn't have it any other way....except of course if the Red Sox were to actually win the World Series!! :D

Love the game too, Fenway is a nice place to take a day trip and watch em lose.

But they better get on the ball with Pedro because I'm sure Georgey has already written the $8 million check.

The Tribe may struggle this year, but they are young and will be back up top before you know it. Don't forget, they are in the AL Central.

At least the Sox won last night...even though it took them 16 innings to do it.

Baseball is a sign of warmer weather and that is enough to make me happy. It is not like it is a matter of importance like football or racing.

I root for them because they win. They win because they spend money, but they spend it wisely. Look at Texas and the mets. They spend their money horribly. Most of the players on the Yankees are home grown like Jeter, Bernie, Soriano, Pettite, Mo Rivera...
