Opinion: Colin Kaepernick vs. Alex Smith

Hey guys,

My NFL team is really in the news this week, and I am just curious as to what you guys think in the debate....who should be the San Francisco 49ers starting QB... Colin Kaepernick or Alex Smith?

I'm not a huge Alex Smith fan and Kaepernick has a lot more upside and seems to be their QB of the future. That being said, now isn't the time (in my opinion) to make the change. Alex Smith is like the 3rd highest rated QB in the league. That team is designed for the QB to just not make mistakes. Smith, with his experience, gives them the best chance to do that and, therefore, win. Next season, it's all about Kaepernick.
