Okay, I don't know how many of you have heard the new "beef" commericals, but Matthew Maconaughey has replaced Sam Elliott as the spokesman. Now I don't know about you, but Sam epitomizes a cowboy, something that most people would associate with BEEF, hence the term "cowboy". Now I understand that Matt is a real stud, but when it comes to a real cowboy, Sam wins hands down. What y'all think?

Who is Matthew Maconaughey? Seriously, i wouldn't recognize him if someone showed me a picture of him. Sam Elliott on the other hand is one of my all-time favorite actors. I have to admit I didn't know he was a beef spokesman though. Someone watches commercials?

edit: I just looked at his picture. Never seen him before in anything I've watched far as I can recall. Sure this isn't a BEEFCAKE promotion?

lol - i much prefer sam elliott. i'm sure i've never watched anything with him in it now. think of all the $$$ i save not going to movies :)

There are some others but they contain profanity. This is Sam Elliott and his real voice, not a voice dub or impersonation. For the real Sam Elliott, watch the movie, "The Big Lebowski", where Sam is in full cowboy regalia and has a a small role but makes a big impression.

They should hire k.d. lang to do the commercials. :)

:XXROFL:

Sam is cool always liked him in the movies ....one of his good roles was Roadhouse where he plays the aging bouncer. Mat is ok, but he is too much of a "pretty boy", Elliot is the Macho Man type.
