The final preparations are being made as the O'Reilly MLRA is set to roll off the 2006 Thunder Tour with the North/South Late Model Shootout at Lakeside Speedway and I-80 Speedway this Friday and Saturday, March 31 and April 1.
The action will kick into high gear as Lakeside Speedway host the action of night one at the Kansas City, KS facility. Driver's and crews will be vying for the $3,000 top prize along with looking for a good start to the 2006 Thunder Tour points battle. Lakeside's own Modified driver's will also be stepping into the heat of battle when the gates open at 5:00 pm. Hot laps are scheduled to kick off at 6:45 pm with racing action taking to the track at 7:30 pm. General admission tickets are available for $18.00 in advance and $20.00 at the gate. Children 8-14 are $8.00 while 7 & under are free. Pit passes for the event are $30.00

Night two will see the driver's and crews head to the north and the beautiful I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, NE where once again they will be doing battle for the $3,000 top prize on Saturday, April 1. In addition to the O'Reilly MLRA the Home Pride Pro Modifieds, Hobby Stocks, and B Modifieds will also be in action. Gates open at 5:00 pm with hot laps rolling off at 6:00 pm and racing action getting underway at 6:30 pm. General admission tickets are available for $16.00 with Seniors & Students only $13.00 and children 10 & under free. The pit gates for Saturday night will open at 4:00 pm with pit passes running $30.00.
