Just got home from the last regular bracket race of the year. There's one more on thanksgiving weekend and another december 10th, but we aren't going.

What's broke on our car is a laundry list. Lets just say we lost 1/10 of a second in 8 passes, from 5.60 to 5.70.

Of the things we know about, without doing a teardown:

transbrake is gone
no compression
25% leakdown across the board
worn valve springs
no vacuum
Water from cooling system is in the oil system puke tank...
convertor is on it's way out
One of the batteries refuses to charge

we seriously didnt plan on being able to drive it on the trailer tonight, and brought the winch JIC. A few more passes and it would have died, probably.

got a rough idea of how much you won/loss after expenses?

LOL. This is racing...

14 races ($240 entry each), a grassroots race ($75), and the 2 day/5 race finale at denton ($240), 1 race at Crandall ($175), and 14 bracket races at Kennedale ($225 each). Plus what it cost to rebuild the motor at the end of least year and again in 2 weeks. Plus fuel (first half of season on gas at $430 for a 55 gal drum, then a pair of $135 methanol drums).

We won $250 for the second chance race earlier this year, $50 last night, maybe $75 here and there earlier this year. Not sure on exact #.
