This is part of our small town. When I drive through I don't appreciate it as much as seeing it in a picture. How weird. lol

i drove down that street yesterday as well. the snow sure made it pretty.

i can't belive we live so close and have never met, something wrong with that

That's pretty cool looking. That looks a little too much like the town they threw Rambo out of in First Blood though. Just think what might have been if that sheriff would have just left the guy alone.

There wouldn't have been a Rambo II,III,IIIV,V,VI,VII,VIII etc :D

FWIW I love small towns. I grew up in one and remember in 1959 they replaced the 4 stop signs at the main intersection with a flashing yellow light.
The Mayor, town council, dog catcher etc and high school band were all there at the dedication as it was a really big deal.:)

Now there's a Starbucks at that very same intersection,,,,:(

I know.. :)

Thanks all.

Fergy wonder if it is against any laws to make a Christmas card with the picture?

you would need to get a copyright release from jim feltman or the sun if they own his work while employed for them. if he's an independent photographer that sells his photo's to whoever will pay for them he might let you use it for personal use.

I didn't notice the photo was taken by someone for their employment, so as SlowNeasy said, you would have to get permission...

You could go to the same location and try to get the same shot. I'm guessing the lack of snow in TN might hamper that though...As much as I can't stand snow or ice, its amazing the effect it has on making things look prettier.

Is that Greeneville TN.? If it is I have been their before. I went to college in Western N.C. and was out exploring some back roads of Madison county N.C. near Hot Springs and ended up in that town. We'll try to keep that trash heap of a area of TN. quiet so no one else will want to come see it:sarcasm:
Absolutely gorgeous area... I mean atrocious:sarcasm:

Ya, it is Greeneville, Tn. I'm familiar with Hot Springs, but never used the springs.

It's really wild, but it looks like the town of Pittsford, here in NY. Unreal! I swear they look like "twins!"

Yorkie, you have something there. Take out the snow, the church steeples and the trees, that too could be downtown Winston Salem. :D
