Panizzi confident for Germany
Crocked Peugeot star Gilles Panizzi says he is winning the race to be fit in time for the next round of the WRC, Rally Deutschland.
Panizzi broke a rib last month during testing for the German event when he crashed his 206 World Rally cars after hitting one of the rally's famous concrete blocks at the side of the road in the Baumholder military testing area.
Panizzi missed last year's inaugural Rally Deutschland with a shoulder injury, but he's confident that won't happen this time round.
"For the first three days it was good, not so painful," Panizzi told wrc.com/fr. "But after it was more difficult. I am taking anti-inflammatory pills but the doctors say it will be OK well before Rally Deutschland.
"For Germany I will be aggressive from the start, but I need practice. After Monte Carlo I started using a physio and now it is starting to pay dividends. But I need to keep training."
The eighth round of the World Rally Championship, Rally Deutschland, kicks off on July 25.

Heh, thats kind of like the Babe Ruth thing where he pointed where he was going to hit a home run. I think Panizzi can do it, he is super fast with a super fast car. Its probally just going to fuel his competiors, but If you are that focused on a goal, the only thing that might sop him is him.
