I am sorry eagle fans but there wide receivers just sucked. They played worse then the local peewee team. Thrash and pinkston need to be fired, seriously they could have substituted 2 rocks for them and played the same. I have never seen a bunch of wide recievers played so bad in my life.

I think if brian westbrook was not injured and donavon mgnab stayed in the whole game they would have beaten carolina. Philli is just a whole diffrent team without westbrook you could see it last week against greenbay.

Panthers are a good team but I think the patriots will beat them easily.

That may be the case. But I will pick the Panthers anyway. A lot of people said the Eagles would crush the Panthers it didn't happen.

PATRIOTS will crush Panthers!
Sorry Kat not a chance.
In your dreams  Gollum

Right..... Picture this. The Kat in tears watching the Panthers lift up that big SB trophy.

You have to give credit to Carolinas defense, 3 interceptions by Manning. Mcnabb isn't as great as everyone thinks he is. Carolina is that good or they would not have made it this far. They beat the Rams, then the Eagles, they deserve it.

The Patriots intercept Manning 4 times and yet are only able to score 24 points against a extremely weak Indy Defense? And yet they are going to easily defeat a Carolina team that is good defensively? I'm just not seeing it. This Carolina team is one of the least respected teams to ever make a super bowl and I don't expect many people to give them the respect they deserve now. It won't matter.
Final score
Carolina 28
New England 17

If anyone saw a team today that can beat the Patriots, I'd like to know who it was.

New England 34
Carolina 17

The Patriots WILL win. It won't be in a blow-out, but they will ultimately prevail.

Somewhere in my rants last week about the Packer/Eagle game I mentioned Carolina would beat the Eagles. Stop Donovan & you stop the Eagles.

There is an old beaters rule...always take the better defense over the better offense.

Good thing the Super Bowl isn't being played in Foxboro otherwise I think the Pats kick some butt. Two excellent defensive units & two ok offenses...i'd say pick 'em.

just like 17 fan said two great defenses and two so-so offenses, I pick the pats cause of the AFC but it will be a low close scoring game

wow smack you sure do like bashing the Panthers
I am not a eagles fan nor do I dislike the panthers. I am a fan of good football games and good competition though. After watching the playoffs games before this one I was very excited about seeing this game hoping to see another close game, which it could have beeen. I was just very disapointed at a team thats suppose to be one of the best out there. They played like I joke I think my post bashed the eagles and their wide receivers more then it did the panters.

I just feel the panters were very lucky this playoff season. I was expecting to see a good super bowl game as well and no offence to the panters but from what I have seen the panthers do and what I have seen the pats do I cannot see how this will be a contest. I see it being another blowout just as what we saw the panters do to the eagles.

If it is a good game or if the panters ended up pulling out an upset fine but I just dont see it ending up like that.

Hopefully all this hollering im doing will jinx the pats a bit.

I agree the Pats are good. But they look good the past two weens for a reason. They plaayed the Titans at Fox Brough. The Titans are not use to sub 0 weather. McNair is one of the best in the NFL. It's hard to get around when you hobble like Capt. Ahab. And George with a dislocated shoulder. Ouch every run must have hurt. The Colts another team not use to cold weather. They play in a Dome on artifishel turf. Not so Sun. In the cold in the snow on natural grass. Manning is good but he has a habbit of chocking up in a big game. But in the Super Bowl the Pats wont be at home. They will be in Texas faceing a team that will not choke. Now just my opinion. and milsge may vary.

Patriots 27 Panthers 6
The Patriots have way too many things on their side:
1. They have the experience, been there done that.
2. They are a better team than in 2001.
3. No way the Panthers are a better team than St. Louis was in 01.
4. The Pats have the best coaching staff in the league, they prepare for
each game so well they are able to anticipate what the other team is going to do before they do it.
5. They will use the running game to free up Brady, they will also have special teams supiorority on their side.
6.Carolina is a good team, but not the same caliber as the Pats, no way they match up even close.
7. Only way i see Carolina even making it close is if they hurt Brady like they did with Mcnab. Just my 2 cents worth :)

Are you sure you're not a Rams fan? You sound exactly like they did back in 2001.

Well I will agree that the Pats are good. They may even win the game. But I don't think they will will win as big as you think. :D I will be pulling for the Panthers.

I hate the rams been Pats fan , Red Sox fan, Bruins and Celts all my life. As for the Pats playing inside on turf , they do ok there too. I just think the Panthers are a Cinderella team and they will show that they are on Feb.1. I can't see them making it much of a game, but of course that is just my opinion. ;)

Doesn't anyone else find it extremely strange that the Pats fans are acting exactly like the Rams fans did back in 2001? You think they better than anyone would know what it feels like to go into the Super Bowl as a underappreciated team expected to get crushed. And I wasn't really asking you if you were a Rams fan, I said that to try to make you see that you're talking exactly like they did back in 2001.

I wouldn't know because i was rooting for the Pats .......lol, i didn't pay attention to what the Rams were doing. I was just stating some facts and opinions, if it sounded like the rams fans did back in 01 ....oh well.

Panthers: 17
Patriots: 14
Doubt it.
don't, John Fox has his team pumped for this game. The Panthers will come to play football, with a no-name defense they will stop the potent offensive attack of the Patriots. They completely stopped one of the (if not the best) running back in the game today in Marshall Faulk. I predict it will be a closer game.

Carolina 24
New England 21

faulk, the best, naw, top 5 maybe but not the best. Priest Holmes is the better all-around back, I'd like to see the pats shut down Preist, if ya slow down his running, he'll kill ya with recieving.
