Inaugural Brickyard 400 Kicks Off NASCAR Week on ESPN Classic.

The 1994 Brickyard 400 is regarded as one of the most important events in NASCAR’s 60-year history, and NASCAR fans will have an opportunity to go back in time and watch history in the making as ESPN Classic presents highlights of the watershed event on Monday, July 20, at 6:00pm/et. The presentation kicks four consecutive nights of past Brickyard 400 telecasts on ESPN Classic, helping get fans ready for the 2009 edition airing Sunday, July 26, at 12:30pm/et on ESPN. Jeff Gordon won the inaugural race in 1994, the first stock car race ever held on the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Got it set to record on my DVR all week.

I wished they showed more classic races. SPEED channel is really missing out by airing stupid shows like Wreaked and Pimp My Ride. I'd rather see classic NASCAR, Indy, and F1 races.

Hell, even if they did themes like "Best WoO races" or "Best racing fights." Anything that was actually about racing would be better then the stuff they normally have on.

I was there for the '94 race. It was a classic.:beerbang:

The 95 race was pretty good too. I had forgotten about the Bodumb brothers wrecking the crap out of each other and causing a big pile up.
Que ball headed fool was the best of the bodines.
