My wife just made up a couple batches of peanut butter fudge. Her mom asked her to make her some, so she made us a batch at the same time. That stuff is awesome!:D

Anybody else like this stuff?

I would, but I'm not sure any would get into a package for shipping without being consumed.

love it.......................

I would love to, but my wife said she doesn't have a recipe. She said she puts 2 scoops of sugar in a pot, adds a little milk, and then she adds peanut butter. She tests it by droping drops in a cup of cold water to see when it is done heating. Then she beats it with a beater and pours it in a 9x13 pan to cool. Sorry I can't give specifics, but my mom taught her and she didn't measure anything.

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMm, and I love Penuchi too.

Put nuts in the PB Fudge for me.

I loves crushed nuts in my peanut butter fudge too, but my wife doesn't like it that way.

Wat the heck is Penuchi?

It's worth a shot. That stuff is worth the effort. Make sure you use good peanut butter though. Jif or an equivelent. The quality of the peanut butter makes all the difference.

If y'all can find an OLD "Fannie Farmer" cookbook (mine was my Nana's) there are LOTS of fudge recipies there:D

Never mind those new fangled things.

4X, that's how you make fudge, like Mrs 4X does!!!!

My wife is trying to give me the recipe now...

2 cups of sugar
Milk (1/4-1/2 cup, just enough to wet sugar)
Peanut Butter, approximately 1 cup.

Put sugar in pan, add milk, stir and heat.
Add peanut butter and keep stirring
Bring it to a rolling boil
Boil it to "soft ball stage" Test this by dropping in a cup of very cold water and then try rolling between your fingers. If you can pick it up out of the water, it is done.
Remove from heat
Let it rest for 5 minutes or so
Beat it with mixer until smooth
Spread into a well buttered dish, plate, pyrex, etc.

I also used to make hard candy.

I knew the real butter had to be there somewhere :D

Peanut Butter Fudge
1 lb. butter (margarine)
18 oz. peanut butter
2 lb. powered sugar

Melt peanut butter and butter together. Take off heat and add powered sugar. Knead until creamy (not long); then press into pan and cool. Cut in to squares. This recipe makes alot.

This one sounds a lot easier to make, but I don't like butter that much, so the mine sounds better. Also, this is the way my mom used to make it when I was a kid. Since she passed away it is amazing the things that are nice reminders of them.

Cutiepie...make sure you let me know how you and DE like it. I hope it turns out well for you.
