They called it the 400 cuz that's how many commercials there were.
Good run for Stewart.
Poor Mark got caught up in another one :(
Kenseth within 13 points of Johnson's lead :)

If I would have seen more of the race and fewer commercials I'd maybe score it higher, I'll give it a 7.

yeah, it was a commercial fest from hell...but I thought the racing and race were excellent. Kudos to Boris...and he's funny too.

got commercials?

I was using free trackpass and listening to the hendrick boys was pretty exciting.

I give it an 8

Cograts TONY!!! Fox's last cup race, they had to catch up on the commercials--sad.

yeah it seems like the final broadcast the networks have to catch up on commercials cause NBC did the same thing on the last race last year, 10 commercial breaks in the last 20 laps.

I'll give it a 2, too many commercials, too many 3 wide racing segments, and too many bone head moves. Your typical lousy plate race, when the plates are gone, then maybe Daytona might be a good race again.

I taped it cuz i had to work, fast forwarding through the spam is a realy time saver

8 or 9.. first plate race i didn't sleep through.. i enjoyed it a lot

Talking about a boring race! I give it a 2!

I agree typical lousy plate race, when the plates are gone, then maybe Daytona might be a good race again.

Yeah, we were out of town the weekend so I watched it this morning. I actually was able to avoid the news to I didn't know who won. :)

Will the Car of Tomorrow kill the plates? The wings look great...

So you managed to watch the race in 20 minutes? :D

I was so mad when they had 13 laps of commercials with a 30 second VISA RACE BREAK in between. Bye bye FOX, home of the next 8 DAYTONA 500s.

This is where NASCAR should offer a PPV feed of "Nextel Cup Vision"

I didn't see the race with all the commercials. Get rid of the yellow-line rule though.

that yellow line rule is a good rule, 9 out of 10 times anytime they dipped below that line before the rule u always had a wreck and IMO that COT is the ugliest racecar I have ever seen. That wing makes the car look like one of the riceburners with a shopping cart handle on the trunklid

I bet it races a lot better than the current plate cars. I don't think it is that ugly either, why is that when there is any kind of change so many people are negative about it?

nobody wants to change.

I like the back end of the car, but not so much the front end with the way it's shaped. I could hate it worse, but since i watch so much sports car racing now, splitters are common in my eyes.

remember the truck series already uses a splitter type nose.

Is that nose that much better than the front end bieng used now? I understand the wing even if it does look silly.

From what i read it is supposed to keep the cars from getting loose around other cars in traffic, create more downforce i believe. That way the cars won't be so aero dependent in traffic, better passing, more consistent three wide racing if it warrants, giving the car back to the driver rather than the driver depending on the car so much to break loose in traffic. I've read so many different opinions on this , so correct me if i am wrong, but isn't the car of tomorrow supposed to cut a bigger swath through the air like the trucks?

That's what I've read. If they punch a bigger hole in the air it would allow other cars to catch them. The wing is supposed to help them in passing by reducing the effects of the side stream of air.

That's what I heard. Big cut in the air. Aero not as important. With Jarrett going to Toyota, the question is, who will drive the big brown truck for UPS ??????????? Dale jumped too early. He could have finally had his worse nightmare come true and been asked to drive the big brown truck !!!!!! :)

Or in other words, the CoT is suppost to prevent what happened to labonte and johnson....

Exactly what i was thinking.

Does anyone else feel like the COT will be an over hyped mess? I just don't see that this change will solve all the problems they say it will. What is NASCAR going to do if it's a failure? No one knows how this thing is going to act until you get 43 cars going full tilt, three or four wide on race day.

If this is going to be the end all of stock cars, will they get rid of restrictor plates? If it's going to be safer and handle better, then why not? Just a thought.

they've done said things at tests. I know they've gone 3 wide at the cookie cutters and 4 and 5 wide at the plate tracks and made it work fine.
