Performed my civic duty this AM.

I know it is my civic duty to vote, but what if you don't like ANY of the candidates you have to choose from? Do you vote for the lesser evil of the two?

majestx, unfortunately, sometimes, yes. There are times when I'm not voting for someone, so much as I'm voting against the other person.

I still think we need a "None of the above" section. If that gets more votes, then the election is held again and those candidates cannot run. Of course, that would mean no one would ever get elected. LOL

Fortunately, or should I say unfortunately, you can completely understand where I am coming from living here in this great state of Texas! But seriously, I am soooooo confused as to what, oops WHO, to vote for. There was too much bashing going on for me to make an intelligent decision. Can I vote for half of one person and half of the other person???

I don't really consider myself Republican OR Democrat (or ANY party for that matter), Just AMERICAN!

majestyx, I know exactly what, er, who you are talking about. I was so sick of the negativity shown by all the candidates for almost all the positions. I don't think I heard one substantive argument in the last 6 months why I should vote for one person over another. It was disgusting.

I don't vote party lines either. In fact, I've voted Libertarian in some races because the Democratic and Republican candidates have so pissed me off. :p

Did you here the remark one of the candidates made against Nolan Ryan for his supporting of the "other" candidate? "He was always on a losing team" was the comment made about Nolan. That really p-o'd some peoples up here! I guess I'll just have to see what I can decide when the time comes to vote this afternoon. But I WILL vote, for SOMEONE!:p

Will have to wait until after work to vote. The endless parade of murderers, thieves, dope dealers and rapists has me tied up until then.

i have successfully completed my freedom fight this morning and feel honored to be in this great country. i am now just reflecting a bit on the ladies and gentlemen that died for me to be able to do that. i am forever thankful if you have served in any way in any of the armed forces. THANK YOU:angel:

ON my way out the door to do just that. My wife just got back from voting right now.

I'm voting when DE gets home from work this afternoon so we can go together...........:)

Was tied up by a young lady once, the first three titles didn't fit her but that fourth one is darn close.:D

Voting is done. Now after my son's football game, time to get a movie to watch instead of the constant election coverage. Will read the results in the paper tomorrow. I cannot stand the "speculation" that goes on for hours as to who is winning/losing........remember Florida!:D

Just came back from the polls. There was a line at my polling place.:calpping: There usually isn't 'cuz a lot of people in my district don't vote. Today they did. hopefully, the trend will continue.

Glad I voted early while the weather was so "iffy". Walked in, did my voting, and walked out. Drove by my polling place after lunch, and after the sun came out. The line was out the door. :)

Good to see people exercising their freedom. :)

I'm 30 yrs old and I'm ashamed to say that today was my first time voting. I just never followed politics before. Sept 11th changed that. Since 9/11 I watch alot of fox's cable news. Because of that I'm more informed and feel comfortable voting. I can definately say that it made me feel better!!

:)

At least all the comercials telling how bad the other guy is will end now:)

I voted and feel glad that I did. Perhaps because the people I voted for did better than I thought they would. My dad was in the military so not voting would be like admitting I hated the US. So I vote, although I am not sure if I want to vote in another Prez election after the disaster the previous one was. And the fact I don't like the Electoral College, necessary yes, but I still don't like it. But voting is something I feel everyone should do, since so many people died for that right.
