PETA wants to advertise with Dale Earnhardt Jr....for free

These idiots drove most of the rodeo's out of Connecticut ,and from what I understand they campaign against fishing and the killing of animals regarded as pests.

PETA is nothing more than a publicity whore raising money for the corporate officers. too bad it works.

PETA—the world's largest animal protection organization, with more than 3 million members and supporters—among your many fans who will be cheering you on this racing season.

The world's largest... 3 million members...

Roughly the population of Arkansas.

I'm all for People Eating Tasty Animals.

From what I understand cup owner's wouldn't piss on a crippled kid in a wheelchair if his hair was on fire for free.

That's mean, and I love it. Most of the team owners are too old to get a steady flow going anyway.

I don't know about cup owners, but everyone I have met at a track with my son (who's in a wheelchair) has been extremely gracious. One of Jason Meyers (WoO) owners, or financial backers met him in the elevator at the dirt track in Charlotte, then during the intermission he made it a point to find my son in the stands with 2 new JM shirts and 2 caps to give him.

We tend to think folks with money don't bleed, but they have feelings too and can feel for the less fortunate. End of the day we all taste death, pain and tears; suffering is no respecter of status. Along the same line of thoughts the common fan is usually also gracious. Even making sure not to obstruct his view. I think owners are people too.

This is just stupid. What NASCAR fan is going to support PETA? I don't see why they're even trying; I don't see them getting anything out of this publicity stunt unless it makes news outside of the NASCAR fan base.
